How to stay hydrated during summer?


Summer is nearing, so it is important to stay hydrated in & out. Up to 60% of our bodies are made of water. We lose water constantly through our skin, urine, waste and sweat even when we breathe. Water intake has many benefits which includes Internal body temperature, Flushing body waste, Metabolizing food & etc.

Here are some tips on how to keep hydrated.

1. Drink plenty of water

First thing in the morning is drink plenty of water. Doing so, you can get metabolism & also give your energy boost. This also increases the hydration level in the body & also you get a natural boost to your stamina. So that you can stay hydrated.

2. Use alarm & notification to drink water

Set alarms or notifications on your smart devices as reminders to drink water. This will give you reminders along with verbal, positive encouragement.

3. Check the colour of your urine

Check the colour of their urine throughout the day to ensure it is clear or light-coloured. Dark yellow urine may be a sign of dehydration for some.

4. Swap high sugar drinks for sparkling water

It is not only cut back on unnecessary sugar, but you'll be adding to your water intake. So take water responsibility.

5. Check for signs

Always check for signs which your skin gives like experiencing dry, irritated, inflamed, itchy, or sensitive skin. This is a symptom of dehydration. Drink water immediately. Be mindful of whether your body is thirsty or hungry. Sometimes we overeat because we mistake thirst for hunger.

6. Low-fat meats

Fat takes longer for your body to digest & carries a higher salt content, which adds strain on your body. Do not Consume too much salt and also increase your risk for dehydration.
